Duties: Opens museum grounds and buildings at designated hours, greets visitors, and invites visitors to sign guest register. Answers telephone queries. Monitors visitors viewing exhibits, cautions persons not complying with museum regulations, distributes promotional materials, and answers questions concerning exhibits, regulations, and facilities. Arranges tours of facility for families, schools or other groups, as well as individuals. May prepare material for the exhibits. May be required to drive City vehicles or personal vehicle to run errands for museum related business and have a valid Texas Driver's license. May be required to make initial inventory and to audit existing inventory of museum objects and artifacts and update appropriate records. Examines exhibit facilities and collection objects periodically and notifies supervisor when need for repair or replacement is observed. Keeps facilities clean. May be required to help with other Parks Department activities when needed. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.
