Duties: Assists maintenance technical and utility crews in the performance of manual tasks including general maintenance involved in the repairs of equipment used for water lines, water meters, and/or plants. Provides leadership and coordination of materials to perform projects and daily maintenance work. Provide coordination on projects and daily maintenance work needed at the water sites to be in compliance with water quality issues. May be subject to call out service after hours. Daily, effective communication with all levels in the division. Be a leader in the department. Make assessment and decisions to perform an adjustment in the field or on an assigned project. Daily reading and recording of water meters at well sites. Document and relay messages, orders and information to personnel, customers and management. Feeding chlorine for disinfection and making adjustments to maintain residual as required by Cooperating fire hydrants to flush main lines as needed. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor. Valid Texas driver's license (Class B may be required) and good driving record. Class C Ground Water License. Traffic Control Training. Utility Safety, Trenching & Shoring Safety, Confined Space Entry Classes. PREFERRED: CDL Class B driver's license preferred
