Duties: Make major and minor repairs on various City-owned gasoline and diesel-powered equipment and vehicles, including garbage and fire trucks, 1 ton and ½ ton trucks, cars and mowers, etc. Inspect and diagnose problems/malfunctions on city vehicles and equipment. Plan work procedures for each project and determine the parts needed for the project. Record all completed work order using the computer system. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Work the assigned schedule and comply with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Texas Driver's License and a good driving record. PREFERRED: Certification in Small Engine Repair or equivalent.

- From 21 to less than 26 years of service five weeks of vacation per year.
- From 26 years of service and up six weeks of vacation per year.
