Duties: This is a federally funded program through the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This is a clerical position that is responsible for answering all incoming phone lines; transfers calls to appropriate staff or takes messages. Greets and assists all walk-in customers including signing in. Assists Housing staff during appointments with making copies as needed. Time-stamps all incoming documents including all faxes and mail. Receives money orders for overpayments, issues receipts, tracks due dates for payments, prepares Excel payment log, and prepares monthly past due letters. Prepares required annual and initial appointment packets and maintains lobby well stocked with all required forms and/or documents. Prepares daily incoming mail log for staff and distributes mail and faxes to appropriate staff member. Responsible for mailing, emailing and/or faxing documents to landlords. Responsible for maintaining Landlord Property Listing up to date monthly. Responsible for maintaining front bulletin board and lobby with all current HUD required posters and/or brochures. Maintains all office and copier supplies stocked up and call for copier maintenance as needed. Maintains mail/copy room organized. Maintains central file room organized and make tenant file labels as needed. Assists with making phone call for inspections. Prepares reports as directed. Required to perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2-3 years related clerical or secretarial experience or combination of experience and college education. Minimum of 3 years customer service skills. Knowledge of or experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Software and email processes. Valid Texas Driver's License. PREFERRED: Prior experience in HUD housing and/or knowledge of HUD rules and regulations as pertaining to the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
