Duties: The PT Pooled Museum Worker is responsible for the daily operation and visitor experience of the museum. This position ensures the protection of exhibits, provides information and assistance to visitors, maintains facility cleanliness, and supports educational and promotional activities. The PT Pooled Museum Worker plays a key role in representing the museum to the public and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all guests. Opens the museum at designated hours and prepares facility for public access. Greets visitors upon arrival and invites them to sign the guest register. Answers incoming telephone inquiries and provides relevant information. Monitors visitors viewing exhibits to ensure compliance with museum regulations. Cautions individuals not following rules and maintains a safe, respectful environment. Distributes promotional materials and provides information about exhibits, regulations, and museum facilities. Coordinates and arranges tours for school groups, community organizations, and special visitors. Prepares materials for exhibits as assigned. Drives City vehicles or personal vehicle, as authorized, to run museum-related errands; must maintain a valid Texas Driver's License. Conducts periodic examinations of exhibit facilities and collection objects; reports necessary repairs or replacements to supervisor. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of museum facilities. May be required to help with other Parks Department activities when needed. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.

Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid Texas Driver's License and a good driving record. PREFERRED: Previous experience in customer service, public facilities, museum operations, or related fields. Experience working with the public, school groups, or community programs.
